Thanksgiving itself was a pretty good day. I made most of the food the night before and we took it over to my grandparents house. It was the first time that I'd ever had to make our family dressing for my grandmother (the dressing master), but it turned out really well, so no trauma there. They are all life long vegetarians, so the dressing has always been the turkey of our Thanksgiving meal. My grandmother was in great spirits. The MDA donated an electric wheelchair for her, so we all took a walk so she could practice using it and she had a really good time. She looked so cute! At one point she was laughing so hard she had us all in tears with laughter too! She really is the most fantastic lady. Because of my crazy work schedule, this week was the first time I was able to have a day off in almost 3 months, so I was so happy to finally spend some time with my grandparents and even more excited to see my grandmother in such a great mood.
The dress I wore for Thanksgiving is one that I had my eye on ever since it appeared on the ASOS website, but at $80.oo I didn't have the money for it, so I figured I'd wait for it to go on sale. As soon as it did I snatched it up. I've actually had it for a few weeks, but just held on to it and decided not to wear it until Thanksgiving. I LOVE this dress. The fabric is light and airy, but I can't keep myself from wishing that it was in cotton. It's now one of my favorite dresses and I think I'm going to be getting a lot of wear out of it!
