Thanksgiving Dress

Hello folks! I had this grand plan of doing a Thanksgiving post, but frankly the day went by so quickly, I didn't even get to take a photo of any of the festivities. I also wanted to squeeze in a little outfit photo, but that didn't happen either, so I had my husband take one today as a bit of an after thought. I actually had plans to go out into the little wooded area behind our place to take proper little outfit photos, but it poured last night and it's all muddy, cold and gross, so we just took them on our balcony instead.

Thanksgiving itself was a pretty good day. I made most of the food the night before and we took it over to my grandparents house. It was the first time that I'd ever had to make our family dressing for my grandmother (the dressing master), but it turned out really well, so no trauma there. They are all life long vegetarians, so the dressing has always been the turkey of our Thanksgiving meal. My grandmother was in great spirits. The MDA donated an electric wheelchair for her, so we all took a walk so she could practice using it and she had a really good time. She looked so cute! At one point she was laughing so hard she had us all in tears with laughter too! She really is the most fantastic lady. Because of my crazy work schedule, this week was the first time I was able to have a day off in almost 3 months, so I was so happy to finally spend some time with my grandparents and even more excited to see my grandmother in such a great mood.

The dress I wore for Thanksgiving is one that I had my eye on ever since it appeared on the ASOS website, but at $80.oo I didn't have the money for it, so I figured I'd wait for it to go on sale. As soon as it did I snatched it up. I've actually had it for a few weeks, but just held on to it and decided not to wear it until Thanksgiving. I LOVE this dress. The fabric is light and airy, but I can't keep myself from wishing that it was in cotton. It's now one of my favorite dresses and I think I'm going to be getting a lot of wear out of it!

Outfit Details:

Dress: Asos
Cardigan: Target

I had to take a photo of my dressing. It turned out so well. I was quite proud of it.

Bazaar Season

Hello Folks! It's that time of year again, time for craft bazaars. Last night we attended a little one here in town. As usual I partnered up with my friend Emily from Fanciful Fluff Boutique. We barely made any money at this one, which was discouraging, because I thought our stuff looked cute. But, we did have a good time chatting and being our usual snarky selves. I took a few photos of my booth so you can see my selections. This time I almost exclusively sold my Lovely Little Lois stuff.

It's a bit more chaotic than we anticipated it would be because we had to split a booth, so this is my half. If we hadn't split the booth, one of us would have had to be outside and it was way too cold for that so we figured we'd share. I decided to display a little bit of all of my stuff, jewelry, stuffed animal pillows, hair clips, and wreaths. I'm looking forward to our bazaar in December. I think the turn out will be far better.

It's Begninning to Feel Like Autumn

Just a quick little outfit post for today. Nothing too interesting going on, just enjoying a cloudy, cool day in Texas. Well, let's get to it.

OOTD Details:

Dress: Heavily Altered Old Navy
Cardigan: Target
Jeans: Avenue
Belt: Avenue
Earrings: Handmade

I finally bought a pair of jeans. The only problem with them is the fact that I had to go a size down to have them properly fit through my legs. They pinch me at the waist, which I hate. However, after buying the larger size too and having droopy legs, I'd rather have a little pinch. Oh, and these are about 5 inches too short. I roll them up so it looks like it's on purpose, but alas, they are far too short. Being tall mixed with having wide hips and small legs is such a bitch when it comes to buying jeans. I literally hate having to go jeans shopping. Does anyone else have this problem with their jeans? What is your solution?
