A Little Night Out

Last night my parents took my husband and I out for a nice little dinner to celebrate the holidays and the drawing down of 2011. We rarely get the chance for the four of us to go out together, so it was really nice to be able to do so. We ended up going to the Cheesecake Factory, which is in the former location of what was once my favorite cinema in town. It's been 10 years and I'm still a bit bitter. I'll give them credit where it's due however, the interior of the restaurant is beautiful and deco in style, so I'll let that part slide. Since we went out for dinner, it gave me a chance to wear the 2nd part of my recent eShakti order. Although there really isn't anything remotely holiday oriented about this dress, I just needed an excuse. I had my eye on this particular dress for quite some time, but for one reason or another, just never bought it, so when I returned the other 2 I took it as a sign, to just go ahead a grab it. I'm glad that I did!

I forgot to have my husband take a photo of the back of the dress last night, so I had to set up the good ol' self timer and take one, because it's too cute to no mention.

The black really brings out my pale!

I elected the custom length option for this dress. So instead of the knee length I chose the 'Short Dress' option and I'm really glad I did. I'm 6ft tall and having it hit higher above the knee adds a flirty quality to it that I just love. Unfortunately you can't really see that since I'm wearing leggings, so you'll have to take my word for it.  The entire back of the dress is smocked, so I think this dress would work well for both larger and smaller busts. I fall right in the middle with bust size and it works great for me. Oh, and it has pockets for those of you who love a dress with pockets.  On to the outfit details...

OOTD Details:

Dress: eShakti
Cardigan: Target
Leggings: LB
Rain Boots: Rocket Dog
Necklace: Gretchen von Eberstein (Christmas present from the husband in 2009)

I wanted to add a photo of Nathan and I from last night, but the restaurant was extremely dark, like headlamp to read the menu dark, so the only viable one I was able to get was this one. Poor Nathan had his eyes closed because it was so dark he didn't realize he was having his photo taken!

You know...I LOVE eshakti's dresses and own three...I want more...but they have been giving us some REALLY bad customer service lately (and that's from someone who loves them). I am hoping they fix it because I would hate to not shop there anymore!

You look lovely by the way!

You're the second person I have seen in this dress and this is the second time I have had to navigate myself back off eshakti because I want it so so much

You look great in that dress!

The Cheesecake Factory always makes me smile because their menu is like 40 pages long! I got so overwhelmed the last time I went there I think I ended up ordering an appetizer for dinner because there were too many options to consider.

Amanda- That sucks! So far I've had pretty good customer service, so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed! I have ordered 6 dresses and only kept 3 so it is kind of up and down sizing wise.

Cassy- Really? I'd love to see someone else in it. I wasn't sure how it would look on my figure, but I figured I'd just go for it and was really glad that I did!

Moon- Thanks!

Rebecca- Thanks dear! It is crazy long! We kept joking about things being on page 187 and things like that. It always takes me forever to decide what I want because there are just far too many options!

Anni- Thanks an hello Germany!
