Texas Independence Day

Today is Texas Independence Day & as usual no one seems to notice. I had the day off so my dad & I went gallivanting around town. It was a nice, casual day filled with singing cowboys, gelato, and taxidermy. You know, just your typical, cloudless, Texas day. The taxidermy place we went is the same one where I got Barnaby Beaver. I actually really like this place, as all of their pieces come from former museum displays.

No outfit post today, because I basically just wore the same outfit as I did for President's Day, but with a navy belt. Here are some photos of the adventures...

Pistachio...yumm!

I think it's so adorable that your parents support your taxidermy habit!

As an aside, have you read China Mieville's "Kraken". Since you worked in a museum I thought you may enjoy it, I'm reading it now.

Rebecca- Hahaha! My taxidermy habit! I haven't read that, but will absolutely get to it! I'm about to be in between books here in a week or so, so thanks for the recommendation!

Alicia- It's because we're awesome!

where did you get that dress? it's so cute!

Deborah- Thanks! The dress was actually a romper from Torrid that I cut the crotch out of to make a dress. I'm not really a romper person, but I loved the fabric, so it was an easy fix.
